Our Ten Year Vision
What is the Vision?
It is the driving force of our church. We believe God is going to accomplish great things when we work together to accomplish this Vision.
Pastor Ted and his wife Angie have been on staff at the church since September of 1996. They have supported the vision for the church under two other men of God. However, in April of 2003 Pastor Ted and Angie received the honor of overseeing this great church. Within the first two years God begin clarifying the vision for First Assembly and in January of 2005 Pastor Ted was able to share it with the congregation at our first vision service. It was in that service that the church begin to prepare for the next 5 to 10 years. By 2015 the church vision is to plant new churches in rural areas surrounding every side of Putnam County. It is not just about reaching this county it's about reaching this region and this world. Join a Simple Church today and support the vision for discipleship and expansion. Today- We meet in homes
On Sunday Nights we meet in our homes throughout the surrounding areas. In this home environment the atmosphere is relaxed and open. People are encouraged to share their thoughts and questions.
Tomorrow- We meet in a building
Once the Home churches' influence grows in a particular area, a Satellite Church will form. Home Churches from that area will come together for regular Sunday meetings.
In Ten Years
Many Satellite Churches will have grown into full running bodies, complete with Pastors and support staff. These Satellite Churches will now become their own Sovereign Church. They will be able to function on its own. Thus creating greater influence in a greater number of communities.
